Modern Wave Salon and Spa Update June 18, 2021
With the recent news in Illinois of all restrictions lifting, we are cautiously re-entering a world without masks at Modern Wave. We want to continue to make decisions that are best for our customers and employees, while respecting the various comfort levels. We want you to know that as always, we have all of our guests’ best interests at heart when it comes to making these decisions, as you are the reason that we love what we do! Starting Friday, June 18th, we will be making the following changes:
🖤 If you are fully vaccinated, you are no longer required to wear a mask at Modern Wave. Unvaccinated guests and team members are encouraged to continue wearing masks. In addition, if you do not yet feel comfortable and safe without your mask, we will mirror you.
🖤 Health and temperature checks are no longer required for guests or staff.
🖤 We are open to full capacity so you may see some days where all hair, manicure and pedicure stations are being used.
🖤 Family units are welcome to all come in for services as they did before; we are so excited to see them all together again!
🖤 As a company, we will not ask our guests to disclose their vaccination status. We believe that is a medical privacy issue. We ask that our guests respect our employees personal and private health choices as well.
🖤 While we are no longer charging a $5 per-guest Covid-19 fee, please know, as of July 1, 2021 there will be a slight price adjustment to some of our salon services, Aveda retail products as well as a Market Adjustment Fee* added to all services performed at Modern Wave. *Details to come
While we are excited and very much looking forward to no mask, we also realize it may take time for everyone to be on board. Please respect everyone’s personal choices regardless of whether or not they are the same as yours. This has been a tough year+ for everyone. We acknowledge that and want our salon and spa to continue to be a happy place.

A few reminders:
⭐️ Please know that disinfecting and cleaning our salon and spa ABOVE AND BEYOND all requirements will continue to be strictly enforced at Modern Wave.
⭐️Please be considerate of our guests, team members and their families. If you aren’t feeling well or have been in the presence of someone who isn’t feeling well, please DO NOT COME!
⭐️With the demand for appointments, please be courteous and cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so we can fill the appointment time. Thank you for understanding and valuing our technician’s time.
⭐️Please do not be late to your appointment. If you are late, even by a few minutes, you may be asked to reschedule. This will be at the salon’s discretion. Please understand that if you are late, your service provider may not have time to execute your service and then prepare their workspace for the next guest. Your appointment will end on time. Any services that were not able to be performed because you were late will be rescheduled for another time.
